The 40-year-old Archimandrite is expected to pass the threshold of the investigator in order to apologize today, after the deadline he requested and received last Saturday.

The 40-year-old is accused of sending an obscene and vulgar video starring himself to a 12-year-old boy.

According to reports, the priest claimed that he accidentally sent the video to the 12-year-old and that it had another recipient. In fact, he allegedly claims that he thought he sent the video to an adult who has the same name as the child and admits that he has recently had online sex and maintains contact with 4 adults.

For his part, the 12-year-old when he received the video he reportedly asked the priest if his cell phone had been “hacked”. He is then accused of sending a voice message to the child asking if he liked what he saw in the video.

The authorities are combing through the priest’s cell phone and computers to determine if he is in possession of other obscene content and if he had communicated with other minors.

And a second incident is reported by the mother of the 12-year-old

The mother of the 12-year-old claims that in the past there was a similar incident with a minor boy. However, as the woman said, no complaint was made in this incident and that is why the 40-year-old was not brought to justice.

“This thing is taking the path of justice now, it’s not about letting go. Maybe we will be able to save some other children who have received something similar and have not spoken, because the good thing is that my child spoke immediately”, said the mother of the minor.

At the same time, the Holy Metropolis of Hydra, Spetses and Aegina announced that it had placed the 40-year-old on holiday until the case was clarified and released his name.
