At least this is what the 21-year-old Voliotis claimed yesterday, who was arrested by police officers of the Almyros Department the day before yesterday afternoon in the city of Almyros, as he had entered a supermarket and attempted to steal bottles of vodka and salami… The young man was, however, noticed by an employee of store and ran away, while as he stated yesterday on the sidelines of the Autoforos Single-Member Criminal Court of Volos, in whose bench he sat, he wanted to sell the products he stole and make money, to buy a ticket and travel to Skiathos, to work…
When asked how he got to Almyros, he said he took the Interurban KTEL bus. The 21-year-old, according to the Police, had also stolen other products from another supermarket also in Almyros on Wednesday. He is charged with aggravated robbery, however, he was not arraigned yesterday as prosecution witnesses were absent.
The trial was adjourned until June 16, while the 21-year-old defendant was released until then.
