They dissipate the hopes for survivors in the sea area of Pylos as not a single survivor has been found in the last 24 hours.

At the same time, the exact number of missing remains still unknown. However, according to the coast guard, there are estimates that state that the missing persons amount to 568 people.

The testimonies survivors say 500 to 700 people were aboard the sunken vessel – including dozens of women and children.
The rescue crews now fear that the fishing boat has dragged hundreds of migrants locked in its holds to the bottom.
Searches for missing persons in the maritime area of Pylos continued throughout the night in which they participated one frigate and 9 vessels afloat which “combed” the area.
However, neither a living nor a dead migrant was found. The weather conditions were more difficult than the previous night.
As the hours pass hope dwindles for survivors, since the shipwreck took place in the deepest part of the Mediterranean and there are many testimonies that mention that the boat probably took many of them to the bottom.
