The mayor of Lagada, Ioannis Tachmatzidis, expressed his support to the 24-year-old who complains that she was raped in a hotel in Thessaloniki, as the girl lives in the specific area.
According to Mr. Tachmatzidis, the municipality of Lagada is ready to find a job for the 24-year-old, while the social services of the municipality will be by her side in whatever is needed. “We as the municipality of Lagada and I personally declare our support, we were willing to find a job and the social services to be by her side,” he stressed.
At the same time, the mayor of Lagada referred to the tragic story of the 24-year-old who has lost her parents, as well as her fiancé. “Apart from the bestiality of the act that the girl suffered, she previously had to deal with various issues in her personal life. Two years ago she lost her father in a car accident. A year ago she lost her fiancé to pathological causes. “A few months ago, she also lost her mother due to pathological causes, who happened to be working in the municipality of Lagada”, Mr. Tachmatzidis underlined.
