Two Russian nationals were arrested who, during a flight from Manchester, England to Dalaman, Turkey, showed aggressive behavior, resulting in the emergency landing of the aircraft at “Macedonia” airport at around 1:50 am. A case file was filed against the arrested for dangerous interference with the traffic of fixed orbit vehicles, ships and aircraft, disruption of order and other violations of the Aviation Code.
As it emerged from the police investigation, during the flight the arrested persons showed aggressive behavior towards the cabin crew and then, due to the disturbance of the flight’s security, an emergency landing took place at the State Airport of Thessaloniki “Macedonia”. In a search of the place, specifically in the place where they were sitting, empty bottles of alcoholic beverages were found. Those arrested will be taken to the competent judicial authority.
