After more than 100 days of hospitalization in the ICU of the Larissa hospital, the 20-year-old severely injured Gerasimos has already begun to show an initial process of contact with the environment, without this meaning that his health condition does not still remain particularly serious and heavy.
The twenty-year-old was transferred from Thessaloniki to a specialized rehabilitation center in Hanover, Germany, where he will continue the fight for his life.
The director of the hospital, Mr. Grigoris Vlahakis, referred to the great fight given by the medical and nursing staff of the Larissa General Hospital in his statements on Tuesday morning.
“We wish the best because we loved both Gerasimos and his family, but also those who arrived at the hospital to express their love,” he added.
What’s more, the poster that was posted on the wall outside the Intensive Care Unit where he was hospitalized all this time causes emotion, in which he writes the following: “With the help of the Virgin Mary and yours, I am leaving to continue the journey of my life… Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!! Gerasimos – Jason”.
