He is accused of complicity in the illegal promotion of third-country nationals to Greek territory in series
A 31-year-old Greek citizen, who was arrested early today (4-7-2023) in area of Zografou, by police officers of the Investigation Department of the Attica Security Directorate.
An arrest warrant had been issued against the 31-year-old woman, as, according to the police investigation, she rented cars from vehicle rental companies and delivered them to her accomplices, who crossed the Greek-Turkish border and picked up third-country nationals in order to transport them inside the country for remuneration.
When transporting the migrants with the vehicles in question, they followed routes from regional roads in order to reduce the possibility of being noticed.
In case they were confronted by police forces, they sped up, driving dangerously and putting the migrants at risk.
The arrested woman will be taken to the competent prosecutor.
