The Hellenic Post offices are reorganizing and modernizing their network and services, opening a new chapter in their long history.

As pointed out in a related announcement, “the goal of the historic ELTA is to become a modern and fully competitive postal services company, which responds to the new market data and, above all, to the demands of customers throughout Greece for better, faster and reliable services and solutions. The great history and experience of 195 years and the nationwide network of ELTA constitute the strong basis for the new period of the Hellenic Post and the guarantee for the next day of postal services”.

The reorganization of ELTA, according to the same announcement, comes through an integrated plan of reorganization and holistic re-approach of customer service, which is expected to unfold gradually over 18 months and includes:

* A new era of customer service based on international standards

* A new distribution ecosystem with a unified, fully modernized and operational network, including branches across the territory, while keeping costs at competitive levels for the market

* Upgrading the operation of branches in key areas with extended hours and more staff

* Strengthening ELTA’s position in the courier market by expanding synergies with ELTA Courier

* New business model that practically strengthens small and medium enterprises

* Digital transformation and infrastructures that reduce waiting time and facilitate service at screening centers

* Redesigning routes and renewing the fleet with advanced and greener technology vehicles that help reduce the environmental footprint

* New hybrid model of presence that does not rely only on the physical network of branches.

“The reorganization plan of ELTA creates the belief in its people, who actively contribute to its implementation, that ELTA maintains its key role in Greek society and economy, but also the security for the company’s customers to continue to trust it” they conclude the Hellenic Posts in their announcement.
