Most of the defendants face charges of sexual acts with a minor for pay
Referral to trial 26 defendants in the first case file the 12-year-old from Colonos, among which the protagonist of the horror but also the mother of the child, is recommended to the Council of Misdemeanors by the competent Prosecutor.
The Prosecutor of First Instance Giorgos Noulis asks the judges to refer to trial all the defendants included in the first case file formed for the sexual abuse and exploitation of the child.
Most of the defendants are facing a charge of sexual acts with a minor for pay, while the Ilias Michos, the girl’s mother and a third person, called “Mihalis”, are accused of pimping.
According to information, Mr. Noulis refers extensively to the extremely bad financial situation of the large family which, as he emphasizes, was the reason for the sexual exploitation of the girl by Michos who took advantage of their need.
The final decision on whether or not to refer the accused will be to the Council of Misdemeanors, which will decide on the case in the next period.
For the case of pimping against the minor girl, 38 persons are accused in both court cases, 30 of whom have been temporarily detained.
