A total of 3,628 applications were submitted, a 16% increase on last year’s record 3,138 applications
A historic record was set this year in the submission of applications for registrations and re-registrations of infants and toddlers in the 26 nursery schools of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) for the school year 2023-2024, according to a relevant announcement.
A total of 3,628 applications were submitted, an increase of 16% compared to last year, when 3,138 applications were submitted, which was also a record.
In the next few days, the provisional evaluation tables of the applications will be posted, after their grading, as defined in the public call.
DYPA’s privately owned nurseries operate from September 1 to July 31, from 06:45 to 16:00 (Monday to Friday) and are aimed at infants and toddlers from 6 months to 4 years.
As DYPA states in its announcement, a daily program of creative work is implemented for the harmonious psychosomatic and educational development of children.
The selection criteria are economic and social.
In Attica they operate in the municipalities of Acharnon, Ag. Varvaras, Ano Liosion, Elefsina, Keratsini, Moschato, Ol. Chori and Peristeri, while in the rest of the country, in the cities of Agrini, Arta, Drama, Igoumenitsa, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Kavala, Kalamata, Karditsa, Karpenisi, Komotini, Larissa, Messolonghi, Naoussa, Xanthi, Patras, Serres and Trikala.
