More than 129,000 applications have been submitted to date on Dentist Passthe Ministry of Health’s preventive dental care program, funded by the Recovery Fund, launched on May 23 and is expected to cover 660,000 children aged six to twelve.

Dentist Pass highlights the importance of preventive dentistry, as well as proper information for parents and children. The program includes checking oral hygiene, cleaning and plaque removal, fluoridation and providing relevant instructions.

The aid is received, on behalf of the child, by an adult natural person who exercises parental care or guardianship or guardianship or provides insurance coverage for the child, acting as the child’s representative for the purposes of this program.

Beneficiaries, regardless of financial criteria, can submit application on the electronic platform of the program (https://vouchers.gov.gr/dentistpass) or via KEP until Sunday 22 October 2023in order to receive the financial aid amounting to 40 euros per beneficiary child.

Said financial aid is credited to the beneficiary parent or guardian in the form of a physical debit card and can be used for six full calendar months after the month of its issue, in dentistry-orthodontic clinics located in Greece and have a POS with a relevant code.

The Dentist Pass is part of the action “Implementation of the National Public Health Prevention Program “Spyros Doxiadis”” of the Ministry of Health and is implemented by the Information Society MAE, within the framework of the “National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0” with funding from the European Union- NextGenerationEU.
