Starting today, Saturday 15.07.2023 at 10:00, the electronic submission of applications by beneficiaries and providers for the social tourism program of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) which is exclusively addressed to retired self-employed professionals (t. OAEE). The deadline for submitting applications ends on Tuesday 18.07.2023 at 23:59.

According to the Public Employment Service (DYPA), “Beneficiaries of the program are pensioners of the eEFKA – former OAEE who have an obligation to pay a corresponding contribution of 1 euro for this benefit (par. 5 of article 69 of law 3863/2010).

The program concerns 25,000 checks and the total budget amounts to 3 million euros.

The selection of beneficiaries is based on the scoring of specific criteria (disabled, single parent, number of children, income) in an objective and transparent manner through the DYPA’s Integrated Information System (IPS).

Providers of the program are tourist accommodations and ferry companies, as defined in the Public Invitation, while providers who have also submitted an application for the social tourism program 2023-2024 to which they have already attached the supporting documents required, it is enough to submit a simple application.

Beneficiaries and beneficiaries can spend up to 6 nights in a tourist accommodation they choose from the “Register of Providers” of DYPA after their direct consultation with the provider, paying a small private contribution.

Especially for accommodation on the islands of Leros, Lesvos, Chios, Kos and in the prefecture of Evros, up to 10 nights can also be spent in the accommodation of the Municipalities of Istiaea-Edipsos and Mantoudi-Limni-Ag. Anna of N. Evia and the island of Samos up to 12 nights absolutely free.

Subsidy prices remain increased by 20% for the peak month of August, while, in addition, they are also increased by 20% during the Christmas (from 15.12.2023 to 14.01.2024) and Easter (from 26.04.2024 to 12.05.2024 ). The increase is valid all year round for accommodation in North Evia and Samos.

In addition to accommodation in tourist accommodation, ferry tickets are also subsidized with a small private participation for the general category of beneficiaries and for those with many children. For people with disabilities, ferry tickets are available free of charge.
