Faced with a huge fiery front moving uncontrollably from the Dervenohoria up to Mandra and up to Nea Peramos there are dozens of firefighters operating on the ground, with the sole purpose of keeping the flames away from residential areas until first daylight, when aerial vehicles will take off.

The battle during the night is not focused on a single point, as the front is huge, and even in areas where the river of fire has passed, there are constant flare-ups and new outbreaks. For the residents of the wider area of ​​Mandra, up to Nea Peramos, where the front of the fire moves above the residential area, on the ridge, tonight will be very difficult, while in Nea Peramos in particular, a 112 message has been sent, in order residents to be ready.

As he pointed out, if the water drops from the helicopters continue and more fire engines arrive, at least 80% of the settlement will be saved.
