Power outages, lasting up to 1 hour, are aimed at the smooth operation of the electrical system
DEDDIE is proceeding with alternating power outages in Rhodes. According to an announcement he issued earlier, due to the ongoing fire on the island near the High Voltage Network, the THIS (Thermal Electric Station) of Rhodes Prefecture was shut down and it was deemed necessary to plan for today, Saturday July 22, 2023, until the evening, alternating power outages of limited extent and duration of up to 1 hour, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the electrical system.
In the context of the coordinated effort for the smooth operation of the electricity system of Rhodes, DEDDIE strongly requests consumers to limit the unnecessary consumption of electricity, especially for the peak hours of 12:00 – 15:00 and 17:00 – 22:00. At these times, it is recommended to:
– avoid the use of electrical appliances (washing machine, oven, water heater, etc.) and reschedule during other hours (off-peak)
– to adjust the temperature of the air conditioners to 26 degrees.
The judicious use of electrical devices during these extreme weather conditions will contribute decisively to energy savings, ensuring the health, safety and better service of all citizens.
DEDDIE expresses its regret for the inconvenience to consumers and thanks them in advance for their active participation in efforts to limit electricity consumption.
