Georgios P. Nakos, professor emeritus of the Faculty of Law of the AUTH, passed away at the age of 83.

In its resolution, the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Law of AUTH states: “It is with great regret and deep sadness that we learned, on the day of the Virgin Mary, of the loss of our teacher Giorgos Nakos. Emeritus Professor Georgios P. Nakos has been a pillar of the Law School and Aristotle University for several decades.
He illuminated the School of Law from 1965 to 2007 as Curator, Lecturer, Assistant, Deputy and Regular Professor in the subject of the History of Greek and Roman Law, educating generations of lawyers and leaving as a legacy principles and values ​​that he served with unparalleled consistency.
At the University, he distinguished himself for his sense of duty and contribution, serving it untouchably from most positions, especially – and for many years – from that of the President of the Legal Committee. We owe him a lot and bid him farewell with respect.”
