It was cleared up by the Extortion Prosecution Department of the Attica Security Directorate the case attempted murder with gunshots, which was committed on March 12, 2023, in Gazi Attica, outside a nightclub.

According to ELAS, a case file was filed against 4 people (34, 45, 31 and 24 years old) for – as the case may be – attempted murder, dangerous bodily harm, dangerous bodily harm as an accomplice and for violation of weapons legislation.

An important role in solving the case was played by utilization of the findings from the scene of the incident, which were recovered and analyzed by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

As it emerged from the Police investigation, the 45-year-old and the 31-year-old, together with other people who provided “security” services, led the 34-year-old patron out of the store and then his 21-year-old friend, who they beat, causing him to lose consciousness. .

Subsequently, the 34-year-old with a gun he brought, at first he fired intimidatingly and then repeatedly assaulted a 38-year-old member of the “security team”, who had previously been punched by a 24-year-old friend of the patrons.

No one was injured in the shooting, while during the autopsy conducted at the scene, 4 shell casings were found and confiscated, which were sent to the Criminal Investigation Department.

As noted in the relevant announcement, the 34-year-old is already incarcerated in a detention center as on June 25, 2023 he was arrested together with the 24-year-old by the Property Crimes Department of the Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution of Crimes Against Life and Property for another case file. At that time, a pistol had been found and confiscated in his possession, from which – laboratory – it emerged that the above casings had been detonated.

The file was submitted to the competent prosecutorial authority.
