Firefighters brought the fires that broke out in the morning hours today under partial control Vari, Voula, Koropi and Attica Grammar School after a lightning strike.

100 firefighters with 4 groups of pedestrian units and 38 vehicles are operating at the points, including 18 firefighters with 4 vehicles from France and 16 firefighters from Cyprus, while 4 helicopters were operating. In addition, volunteer firefighters and water carriers of the Attica Region provide assistance.

At the same time, according to information from the Police, the traffic regulations that had been implemented in the Marathon area due to the fire at Grammatiko were lifted.

Also under partial control was the fire that broke out earlier in the Kampia area of ​​Chios, where 23 firefighters with 1 group of pedestrians and 9 vehicles and volunteer firefighters are working, while a helicopter also worked.
