According to the National Meteorological Service, clouds with rain and sporadic storms are forecast throughout the country today. The phenomena will be intense in places in central Macedonia (mainly in the prefectures of Pieria, Imathia and Halkidiki), Thessaly, Sporades, central and eastern Sterea (mainly in the prefectures of Evrytania, Fthiotida and Boeotia), Evia, eastern and southern Peloponnese, until the afternoon in Epirus, the Ionian Islands, western Sterea and western Peloponnese, at times in Attica and western Crete and from the midday hours in the northern Aegean islands and the western Cyclades.
Winds will blow from eastern directions 4 to 6 and in the northern Aegean 7 and locally 8 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop further and reach 25 to 27 degrees in the Ionian and the mainland and 28 to 30 degrees Celsius in places in the eastern and southern islands.
