(News Bulletin 247) – Oddo BHF maintains its ‘outperformance’ rating for Carrefour shares, with a target price of 20 euros.
The analyst, however, mentions three themes that fueled the debate in an ‘unfavorable’ way, in particular the dynamic in August (Carrefour lost 0.3% of market share, ), the publication of a book by a former employee (‘Carrefour, la grande arnaque’, to be published on September 13), or even the departure of CEO France, Rami Baitieh.
Despite this less favorable newsflow and the fact that Bompard speaks of a ‘tsunami of deconsumption’, Oddo BHF considers that none of these elements is likely to upset, in the short term, the good operational dynamic of the group and ‘ne does not call into question the solid fundamentals of Carrefour.
