The General Regional Police Directorate of Thessaly issued an announcement regarding the current vehicle traffic regulations in Thessaly.
In particular, as stated in the announcement, the situation on the road network of the Region of Thessaly, due to the adverse weather conditions, is as follows:
A. LARISA POLICE HEADQUARTERS
• Suspension of all vehicle traffic on the P.A.T.E. Motorway:
• in the traffic flow towards Athens, from highway 400+265 (borders of Larissa and Pieria) to highway 348+106 (Nicaia A/K)
• in the traffic flow towards Thessaloniki:
• from road 261+280 (boundaries of the prefecture of Magnesia – prefecture of Fthiotida) to road 321+580 (boundaries of the prefecture of Magnesia – prefecture of Larisa), excluding those with a destination up to the city of Larisa &
• from h/th 348+106 (A/K Nicea) to h/th 400+265 (borders N.A. Larissa with N.A. Pieria).
• Suspension of all vehicular traffic on the National Highway of Larissa – Farsala and in both (2) traffic streams from the boundaries of the Municipal Community of Nice to Farsala.
• Suspension of all vehicle traffic throughout the road network of the Municipality of Farsala.
• Suspension of all vehicular traffic on the Larissa – Karditsa provincial road, from the Koilada intersection (h/th 12+000) to the borders with the Karditsa Regional Unit (h/th 23+000).
• Suspension of all vehicle traffic on the road network of the Municipality of Killeler.
• Interruption of traffic on the eastern and western side roads of the PATHE Motorway. in both traffic streams of the bypasses, from the height of the A/K Nikias (p.th. 348+106) to the borders with the prefecture of Magnesia (p.th. 323+439).
• Suspension of all vehicle traffic in both traffic streams of the Agiokambou – Kokkino Nero provincial road, from the height of the “KALATRAVA” bridge to Sotiritsa.
• Interruption of vehicular traffic in both -2- traffic streams of the Elassona – Drymos Regional Road, from its junction with Mavrodimou Street to its junction with the Larissa – Kozani National Highway (r/t 42+800).
• Suspension of all vehicle traffic in P.E.O. Larissa-Thessaloniki, from its junction with Sykouriou Street to Gyrtonis A/C.
• Suspension of all vehicle traffic in both directions of the Larissa – Agiokampou Provincial Road, from the height of the “TEMKA” Intersection (TEMKA bridge) to the height of the Post Office. Dimitras of the Municipality of Agia.
• In the city of Larissa, vehicle traffic has been temporarily suspended at the following points:
(a) from Airport Roundabout to Alcazar Roundabout,
(b) from the Alcazar Roundabout to the D.E.Y.A.L. Roundabout,
(c) from the Circular Junction D.E.Y.A.L. to the Trikala Roundabout (LIDL store height),
(d) from Trikala Roundabout (height of LIDL store) to the junction of Ioannina Street with Hatzimichali Street,
(e) from Sokratous Street to P.E.O. Larisa-Thessaloniki,
(f) Trikala ring road, from the Trikala roundabout (LIDL store height) to the AEL FC ARENA stadium roundabout,
(g) Larissa-Kozani national road, from 2+000 (Alcazar Roundabout) to Yannouli Workers’ Housing (JUMBO store height) &
(h) on Saki Karagiorga Street, from the Airport Roundabout, to its junction with Agia Marina.
• In addition, vehicular traffic has been temporarily suspended at the following points:
• on the provincial road Farsalon – Volos,
• on the provincial road Koutsoupias – Karitsas, within the settlement of Kokkinos Nero,
• on the Messangalon-Koulouras provincial road,
• on the Eastern Paradromo P.A.TH.E. Makrychorio – Evangelismos (height of SEA Evangelismos),
• on the provincial road Gonnon – Kallipefkis,
• on the provincial road Omoli – Paleopyrgos,
• on the Stomiou – Alexandrini provincial road,
• on the provincial road Ampelona – Delerion,
• on the provincial road Vryotopou – Rodias,
• on the provincial road Mandras – Koutsocherou,
• on the provincial road Koutsocherou – Damasiou &
• on the Makryhoriou – Gonnon provincial road.
B. MAGNESIA POLICE DIRECTORATE
• Suspension of all vehicle traffic on the P.A.T.E. Motorway:
• in the traffic flow towards Athens, from highway 400+265 (borders of Larissa and Pieria) to highway 348+106 (Nicaia A/K)
• in the traffic flow towards Thessaloniki
• from road 261+280 (boundaries of the prefecture of Magnesia – prefecture of Fthiotida) to road 321+580 (boundaries of the prefecture of Magnesia – prefecture of Larisa), excluding those with a destination up to the city of Larisa &
• from h/th 348+106 (A/K Nicea) to h/th 400+265 (borders N.A. Larissa with N.A. Pieria).
• Vehicles moving on the PATHE Motorway towards Athens, traffic is detoured entering the traffic stream towards Thessaloniki from X/TH 284+700 to X/TH 291+750, due to wear and tear on the road surface at X/TH 287 of PATHE highway in the traffic flow towards Athens, until the damage is repaired.
Vehicles driving on the PATHE Motorway from Thessaloniki to Almyros will exit at the Mikrothibon interchange, left at E.O. Volos – Farsalon, right on the eastern side road PATHE and then through the west side road PATHE to the A/C Almyros.
• Vehicle traffic has been temporarily suspended:
• on the provincial road Volos – Kanalion, from the village of Kerasia to the village of Kanalia,
• on the provincial road Agias – Volos, from the village of Kanalia to the borders of the prefecture of Magnisia to the village of Kalamaki of the prefecture of Larisa,
• on the provincial road Stefanovikiou – Megalo Monastiriou, from the intersection with P.E.O. Volos – Larissa, at the height of Stefanovikeio to the village of Megalo Monastiri,
• on the provincial road Almyrou – Anavras, from the village of Neohoraki and up to the village of Anavra &
– In addition, vehicle traffic has been temporarily suspended at the following points:
(a) on the national road Volos – Zagora (upper branch) from X/Th 23+720 (Chania) to X/Th 42+180 (Zagora),
(b) on the National Highway Volos – Zagoras (‘Ano Klados), from h/th 4+760 (Anakasia) to h/th 5+810 (‘Alli Meria), due to subsidence of the road surface,
(c) on the provincial road of Chania – Drakeia,
(d) on the provincial road of Agrias – Drakeias,
(e) on the provincial road of Agios Onoufriou – Makrynitsa (via Koukourava),
(f) on the provincial road of Portaria – Makrynitsa,
(g) on ​​the national road Volos – Zagoras (lower branch) from X/Th 63+910 (Kissos) to X/Th 57+650 (Mouresi),
(h) on the national road Volos – Zagoras (lower branch) from X/Θ 68+690 (Makrirahi) to X/Θ 65+310 (Anilio),
(i) on the national road Volos – Zagoras (lower branch) from X/TH 17+790 (Kala Nera) to X/TH 21+000 (Koropi),
(j) on the provincial road of Milinas – Trikeriou,
(k) on the provincial road of Agios Lavrentiou – Kato Lechonion &
(l) from the village of Lavko to the settlement of Mikro.
C. TRIKAL POLICE DIRECTORATE
• The traffic of all types of vehicles has been suspended throughout the road network of the Trikala Regional Unit, with the sole exception of the one connecting the Trikala – Grevena and Ioannina Regional Units, namely:
• EO of Murganiou – Grevena and EO. Trikala – Ioannina (borders of the prefecture of Trikala with the prefecture of Grevena to the city of Trikala &
• E.O. Ioannina – Trikala (borders of the prefecture of Trikala with the prefecture of Ioannina up to the city of Trikala).
It is noted that there is a suspension of traffic for all vehicles on the Trikalon – Larissa road.
D. KARDITSA POLICE DIRECTORATE
– All vehicular traffic has been suspended in the prefecture of Karditsa, with the exception of traffic on the section of Highway E-65, from 31,900 km/h to 80,000 km/h in both traffic streams.
• It is clarified that those drivers who enter the E-65 Motorway, from 31,900 km/h, towards Trikala and divert at the height of 80,000 km/h (A/K Karditsa), will be able to go exclusively to the city of Karditsa
• Vehicle traffic bans are lifted:
i) from the DELTA interchange to the city of Karditsa (from the E.O. Karditsa – Lamia) and from both directions (from and to Karditsa) as well as
ii) within the city of Karditsa and its district.
• The suspension of traffic on the Karditsa – Mouzaki Provincial Road is lifted in both traffic streams.
• Vehicle traffic has been stopped at the following points:
1) Provincial road of Agios Dimitrios, from Vlocho to Ag. Dimitrios and from Petrino to Ag. Cerium,
2) 2nd km Ep.O. Magoulitsas- Magoulas,
3) 2nd km Ep.O. Magoulas- M. Kalyvia.
4) OP.O. Karditsa – Larissa from T.K. Sykeonas to T.K. Vunaina (Turns of Sykeonas).(5) Ep.O. Ellinokastro-Amygdalis.
6) 2nd km. District of O. Karditsa – Kallithirou.
7) Morfovounio – Mesenikola Provincial Road,
8) Kypseli Sofadon-Ampelona Road.
9) Pashalitsa-Lefki Road.
10) Markou-Gorgovitan St.
11) Phyllos-Kypselis Road.
12) Petrinou-Itea St.
13) 6th km. Mouzakiou-‘Artas Road.
14) Mouzaki-Argithea Road (collapse of T.K. Argiri bridge).
15) E.O. Karditsa – N. Monastiriou, at the height of Grammatikou intersection.
