In the area there are 27 mixed levels of ELGA that have started an assessment project, while to facilitate producers and speed up the process, the insurance organization has opened an information office in Larissa.

By noon today, 24,856 dead sheep, goats, 7,500 pigs, 35 cattle, and 23,900 birds had been collected and managed (including landfill or incineration).

Mr. Avgenakis called on farmers not to “listen to irresponsible voices that talk about the impossibility of farming for a five-year period” adding among other things how “no political expediency and no “fake news“it cannot replace the opinion of scientists which, especially in these cases, we must respect and follow”.

He also reminded that for the producers in Thessaly, Evros and Fthiotida, an extension has been given to the submission of the IAS 2023 declarations until October 6.
