“This is a fictional character,” a victim who testified as a witness told the court
Pretending to be an employee of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), he cunningly offered jobs in his “Service” to unsuspecting victims by presenting forged documents purportedly certifying their employment.
The Three-member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki sentenced him to 2 years in prison, suspended, for using a forged document, consecutively.
Invoking the same capacity, as well as alleged connections in the field of Justice, he himself, according to victims’ complaints, promised to mediate – for a monetary fee – for the acquisition of cars, at attractive prices, through the auctions conducted by the ODDY.
The part of the alleged car fraud – however – did not reach the audience, because the crimes against him were filed late.
“This is a fabricator,” a victim who testified as a witness told the court, while another victim who was allegedly employed as a secretary at EYP reported that the accused showed her the supposed offices where he would work and presented forged documents for upcoming payments to her account.
The accused – who is said to work as a baker – did not attend court and was represented by a solicitor.
His defense accepted part of the acts connected with the use of a forged document.
