The wife, who even asked for the help of a broadcast investigation, actually allegedly knew since 2016 that her husband was in Greece
The case of 55-year-old Adamo Guerra, the Italian who – according to revelations by the Italian public television Rai – has been living in Patras for the last ten years, “disappeared” from his family, seems to be taking a new turn.
Guerra, in fact, in 2013 had left three letters to his relatives living in northern Italy, in which he made clear his intention to end his life.
“Hi mom and dad. I don’t have many words to tell you, but unfortunately things always went wrong. I will try to take this last step in the right way so that you will not experience the pain of my funeral. The time has come for me to put the word end,” he had written in his letter.
According to the Italian news agency Ansa, however, a new, important element is now being added to this whole story.
Guerra’s wife, Raffaela Borghi, who asked for Rai’s investigative broadcast help, actually reportedly knew since 2016 that her husband was in Greece.
The agency Ansa and the newspaper La Repubblica write that the woman mentioned this fact in a complaint filed in September 2016 with the local police of Imola, where she lives, in which she demanded that Guerra pay maintenance for their two children. Guerra, according to La Repubblica, was identified seven years ago by the Greek Police, after the start of an investigation at the European level.
For a number of years the woman received financial support only from her in-laws and in view of her eldest daughter’s enrollment at university, she reportedly wanted more help.
Until now, Raffaella Borghi has insisted that she was informed that her husband was alive in February 2022, when he applied for registration in the register of Italian permanent residents abroad.
