Significant traffic problems are occurring at this time on the New and Old National Roads, at the 162nd kilometer, at the height of Eleonas Aegialia, due to landslides of transported materials after the downpour. Machines from the Region in collaboration with the Municipality of Aegialia are rushing to the scene.

Traffic has been suspended on the Eleonas toll road up to the Kalavryta junction in the direction of Elefsina. A queue of two kilometers has formed at the point, with vehicle traffic being difficult.

The landslide was caused by heavy rain and hail in the area.

According to Olympia Odos the traffic police proceed to reverse the vehicles towards Patras, and divert the traffic to the old National Highway, in order for them to make a detour from Aigio to Kalavryta to rejoin the National Highway.

Traffic in the direction of Patras is moving normally.
