The anti-corruption members of ELAS examined a complaint from a woman who claimed that at least during the last two years, the police officer using threats as well as psychological and physical violence, systematically raped herwhile issued it for a fee, withholding sums of money for him.
According to what has become known, the police officer, taking advantage of his status, as well as the fact that he was on duty in the same area where the complainant was active, initially approached her under the pretext of providing protection, while then, in the context of their cohabitation, demanded and seized part or all of its collections.
Indeed, in order to achieve his purpose, he had promised to marry her, in order to secure her permanent residence in Greece.
To put an end to his illegal activity, a police operation was organized, during which the police officer was arrested after he had previously received from the complainant the pre-marked sum of 500 euros.
From the search carried out in their house, a mobile phone device was found and confiscatedi the sum of 3,850 euros, of which 500 were the pre-marked banknotes that the accused had hidden in a specially designed area.
