Apologies for the manipulation of television licenses

The investigative process enters the final stretch with the former minister in the SYRIZA ANEL government Nikos Pappas being criminally controlled regarding his manipulations for the television licenses.

The investigation conducted by the Special Court procedure is in full swing as the former minister has been called to apologize next Thursday while the businessman and public works contractor Christos Kalogritsas, who is also accused in the same case, began his apology which will continue tomorrow.

According to information, he will insist on what he has complained so far, that is, that his participation in the competition for television licenses was in fact fictitious and that the then government aimed to acquire a channel of its own influence.

According to the same information, Christos Kalogritsas will refer to the role of former Minister Nikos Pappas for the TV licenses and for finding money in order to enable Kalogritsa to participate in the competition.

After the completion of the apologies, the evaluation of the entire case file referred by the Parliament with the procedure of the Special Court will be undertaken by the Judicial Council, which will decide whether the case will eventually reach the seat of the Special Court, as provided by the constitution.
