A criminal group whose members were active in drug trafficking in the wider area of ​​the center of Athens and Piraeus was dismantled by the Drug Prosecution.

In particular, they were arrested on Tuesday afternoon (17/10) in the areas of Patisionof Keratsiniouher Transformation and his Perama5 men and 2 women, aged 21, 30, 31, 38, 44, 46 and 50 years old, members of the organization – as the case may be, for violating the legislation on addictive substances and on weapons.

According to the Police, following the use of information regarding the activity of a criminal group that was active in the trafficking of drugs (cocaine, raw cannabis and pharmaceutical tablets) in the wider area of ​​the center of Athens and Piraeus, after cross-referencing computer data and evidence, the accused were identified and their criminal activity was certified.

The roles

As pointed out by ELAS, this is a criminal organization with distinct roles among its members. Specifically, the 46-year-old, as organizer and director, was in charge of finding suppliers and collecting profits from the other members.

The 44-year-old and the 50-year-old were responsible for storing, guarding and dealing the drugs, as well as finding customers. The 50-year-old had also undertaken to find the vehicles used for their transport.

Finally, the remaining members were in charge of transporting and dealing the drugs.

In searches carried out in their homes and in the possession of the defendants, a total of were found and confiscated:

• 650.95 grams. cocaine,

• 811.9 grams. raw cannabis,

• 111 medicinal tablets,

• modified hunting rifle,

• 4 cartridges and casing,

• 7 precision electronic scales,

• 18,500 euros,

• 5 cars,

• motorcycle,

• 11 mobile phones and

• handwritten notes.

The arrested persons, with the case filed against them, were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
