New first aid payments were made today to those affected by the floods that occurred in early September in various regions of Thessaly, but also in Central Greece. In particular, on Thursday, and following the payment made on Tuesday, November 14, during the current week, 8,058,808 euros have been credited to citizens’ bank accounts.

In particular, as stated in a statement by the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, within the week, 3,194,356 euros were paid to 933 natural persons for the treatment of basic living needs and simple repair work and/or the replacement of household goods in areas affected by the September floods. These are payments that resulted from the cross-checks made by the officers of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid in the applications submitted to the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr.

At the same time, payments of 2,130,451 euros were made to 384 beneficiaries of first aid against housing assistance and payments of 2,734,000 euros were made to 888 businesses as first aid against the grant of businesses affected by the floods, which include livestock units and agricultural holdings .

Cumulatively, therefore, until today, through 17 first aid payments, 108.1 million euros have been paid to 29,130 ​​applicants, who have been affected by the unprecedented flooding phenomenon that hit Thessaly, but also areas of Central Greece.

Regarding the distribution of first aid to each Regional Unit, the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection notes that:

– In the Regional Unit of Karditsa, 47.2 million euros have been allocated so far to 11,369 of our fellow citizens, either households, businesses, livestock breeders, or farmers.

– In the Larissa Regional Unit, 26.5 million euros have been allocated so far to 7,808 of our fellow citizens, whether households, businesses, livestock breeders, or farmers.

– In the Trikala Regional Unit, 20 million euros have been allocated so far to 5,133 of our fellow citizens, whether households, businesses, livestock breeders, or farmers.

– In the Magnesia Regional Unit, 11.7 million euros have been allocated so far to 3,806 of our fellow citizens, either households, businesses, livestock breeders or farmers.

– In the Regional Unit of Fthiotida, 2.6 million euros have been allocated so far to 1,003 of our fellow citizens, either households, businesses, livestock breeders or farmers.

At the same time, the process of cross-checking the data that has been submitted through the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr, continues and in the next few days the payments will continue normally.
