In the last month the average waiting time at the Single Citizen Service Number was just 9 seconds
Over 7 million calls have been handled in its 27 months of operation in 1555, the Single Citizen Service Number of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
From July 2021 to October 2023, 1555 received a total of 7,342,103 calls, of which 7,010,544 were answered, with an average waiting time of 9 seconds (based on the last month).
Of these calls (7,010,544 ) 99.65% have been answered, either immediately or within a few days. The remaining 0.35% concerns personalized requests, which are handled by special groups of executives of the Ministry and the supervised entities.
– THE e-EFKA registers the largest number of phone calls, as 4,880,375 citizen calls have been handled so far on matters of its competence. The percentage of resolved requests amounts to 99.73%.
– For matters of her competence DOUBLE a total of 1,054,493 calls have been served and the percentage of resolved requests reaches 99.88%.
– For matters of his competence OPECA785,046 calls have been answered, for Labor Relations issues 197,134 calls, for Social Solidarity issues 28,214 calls and for Gender Equality/Demographic Policy issues 12,761 calls.
– 1555 has directly forwarded 7,364 calls to SOS line 15,900, for immediate counseling and psychological support for female victims of violence, as well as 12,338 calls concerning the Personal Assistant for People with Disabilities. Also, 9,707 calls have been forwarded, which concern complaints to Independent Labor Inspection Authority.
At the same time, the increase in the use of the upgraded website is particularly impressive 1555.gov.gr, through which citizens have the possibility to use the available digital services of all entities supervised by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security as well as to submit and monitor the progress of personalized requests, without requiring a call to the call center. Until October 31, 2023, 42,696 requests had been submitted via the 1555.gov.gr website.
The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Mr. Adonis Georgiadesregarding the operation of the single service number for citizens 1555 stated:
“It is now obvious that 1555 has emerged as an extremely valuable and successful “tool” for serving the citizens. The latest data we have at our disposal amply proves this. We have already exceeded 7 million calls in just 27 months of operation. It is also noteworthy that 99.65% of these calls were handled, which underlines the effectiveness of the procedures followed. I would like to warmly thank the human resources of the 1555 call center and of course the citizens who “embraced” but also trusted this innovative service.”
