A new complaint about the abuse and killing of a dog was made in the last few hours, as the one-year-old dog named “Bella” was found dead on Tuesday, after being shot, in a plot of land in the “Pefkakia” area of Volos.

The dog was found dead by an animal lover who was visiting the area and feeding the stray animals.

Bella fell dead from multiple bullets just days before she was to be taken to Athens to be adopted by an interested family.

According to taxydromo.gr, the woman found the dog dead, with blood, shrapnel from a gun and a rope tied around her neck.

The veterinarian who examined the animal confirmed that it was a death by gunshot, which, in fact, came from a close distance of about one meter.

“She was a little dog, only 11 months old, who was very fearful. She wouldn’t let anyone get close to her, but she was calm. He didn’t bark, he didn’t chase, he didn’t attack. In fact, if you approached her and left her alone to approach you, she would lie on her back and wait for caresses on her belly” said the woman who found Bella murdered.

The dead dog was received by the municipality’s employees, while the investigation of the case and the identification of the perpetrator have been undertaken by the Greek Police.
