Organized plan

EL.AS sees an organized plan behind the attack on the police officer in the Rentis incidents. It is not excluded that new warrants will be issued in the next few hours, in order to arrest others involved in the case.

Among the persons for whom an arrest warrant will be issued is the “guide” of the attack, who according to the 18-year-old who is accused of the attack on the police officer, was wearing a full face and could not distinguish his facial features.

The 18-year-old reportedly confessed that he was inside the stadium with the group of hooligans and a person told them to come out and attack the police when he gave them the signal.

The alleged mastermind threw a Molotov cocktail first and that appears to have been the cue for the attack. Once outside, another person supplied them with munitions.

To the same, as he confessed to the police, they gave him the naval flare and, in fact, showed him how to activate it.

“Investigations are in full progress, if evidence emerges we will proceed with the identification and arrest of those involved,” an officer told skai.gr.

That day at the stadium with the 18-year-old was also his 16-year-old brother, who was not allegedly involved in the attack on the police officers.
