A human skeleton was found today on a beach in Marmari.

Specifically, the Coast Guard and Police were alerted about bones found on Psili Ammos beach.

A walker spotted the bones and notified the authorities who immediately rushed to the scene.
Understandably, the area has been cordoned off as investigations are carried out. The preliminary investigation has been undertaken by the Port Authority of Karystos.

Finding a human skeleton in Evia, however, is nothing new.

Throughout the last month, either whole skeletons or parts of them have been discovered on several coasts of the island.

Evima.gr recently reported that six whole skeletons had been found. In fact, these cases in the northern part of Evia were also covered by a veil of mystery.

As it was known, the skeletons were found in places where there was no trace of their burial, with the result that no one can determine who they belong to.

“Everyone is speculating and various scenarios have been heard so far, but it has not yet been known who they really belong to,” residents of the area told Evima.gr at the end of November.

Now, there are again scenarios about the fact that a human skeleton was found in Evia. The authorities in Marmari are looking into all the possibilities of how the bones ended up on the beach and who they might belong to.
