In a symbolic occupation of the Thessaloniki Courthouse the city’s lawyers proceeded early in the morning, emphasizing their opposition to the tax measures passed in Parliament.
The lawyers of Thessaloniki gathered at 08:00 am. outside the Courthouse entrance to protest the passage of the self-employed tax bill. There are also reactions to the upcoming changes to the criminal code and the criminal procedure code.
At the same time, the protestors shouted slogans such as: “Lawyers together with the people against the new tax bill”, while they then proceeded to a symbolic occupation of the Courthouse. It should be noted that around 09:00 a.m. the doors of the Courts will open again for the citizens.
Finally, on Friday (14/12) the lawyers of Thessaloniki will participate in a mass rally in the city, against the passing of the tax measures.
