In parts of the provincial and national road network of Florina, anti-skid chains or special tires are necessary for vehicle traffic, according to an announcement by the General Regional Police Directorate of Western Macedonia.

In particular, anti-skid chains or special type tires are necessary for vehicles driving on the Kastoria-Florina provincial road (via Vitsiou), from the 18th km to the 28th km, in the section of the vertical axis (A-29) of Egnatia Road, Siatistas – Krystallopigis, on the Florina-Kastoria provincial road (via Vitsios), from the 18th km to the 30th km, on the Florina-Krystallopigis Border Station national road (via Vigla), from the 15th km to the 25th km .and on the provincial road Florina-Ano Kleinos-Akrita (intersection with national road Florina-Krystallopigi Border Station), from the 16th km to the 22nd km.

Vehicular traffic on the vertical axis of the Egnatia Road (A-27) Niki-Florina, as well as on the rest of the National and Provincial road network, is proceeding normally.

According to an announcement by the Police Departments of Grevena, Kastoria, Kozani and Florina, due to the occurrence of adverse weather phenomena, it is mandatory to equip cars of all categories with anti-skid chains or other similar anti-skid means, as long as these vehicles do not have special tires (snow tires), for all the road networks of the four P.E. of Western Macedonia.
