Protest gathering for the alteration of the election result in municipality of Belgrade takes place outside the offices of the Central Electoral Commission.

Protesters have surrounded the building and are shouting slogans demanding that the municipal elections in the capital.

The leaders of the “Serbia Against Violence” coalition entered the election commission building and handed over evidence that serious irregularities were committed during the election process. The opposition complains that on election Sunday, 40,000 voters from the Bosnian Serb Republic arrived in organized buses and voted in Belgrade without being citizens. Two of the leaders of the “Serbia Against Violence” coalition, Marinika Tepic and Miroslav Aleksic, who are inside the building of the Central Electoral Commission, have started a hunger strike until the opposition’s demand for a repeat of the elections is met.

The President of Democracy Aleksandar Vucic told public television – RTS that a small number of Bosnian citizens voted in the elections in Serbia. Vucic said that these are voters who have dual citizenship and chose to come to Belgrade to vote and not to the consulate in Banja Luka.
