Targeted police actions were carried out in the entire territory period from 15 to 19 December 2023in the context of the implementation of the Strategic Planning of the Hellenic Police Headquarters for the tackling crime and improving the level of security for citizens.

In this context, teams were active with the participation of visible and invisible police officers, from various Services, taking into account the local operational plans and emphasizing areas and settlements where increased incidents of delinquency are observed.

During the above actions throughout the country were checked in total –91,066- people and -69,448- vehicles, while

  • -3,159- people were brought in,
  • -1,270- people were arrested for various crimes,
  • 18,153 violations of the Code of Civil Procedure were confirmed.
  • -445- vehicles were stopped and
  • were seized –12-.

For example, police operations were carried out:

  • in the wider area of ​​Western Attica, where –3,605– checks were carried out, –19– people were arrested and –537– Code violations were confirmed,
  • in the area of ​​Kifissia, where –353– checks of persons, –38– checks of vehicles were carried out, –16– people were brought in, –2– people were arrested and -151- violations for C.O.C. were confirmed,
  • in areas of Argolis, where –216– people were checked, –58– people were brought in, –47– people were arrested, and –67– C.O.C. violations were confirmed.
  • in areas of Thessaloniki, where –424– person checks and –111– vehicle checks were carried out, –30– and –4– people were arrested, while –56– Code violations were confirmed. and –27– other violations,
  • in areas of Thessaly, and in particular in Larissa, Volos, Trikala, Karditsa, where –918– people and –886– vehicles were cited, and –224– traffic violations were confirmed. and immobilized –1– vehicle,
  • on islands of the North Aegean, (Lesvos, Chios and Samos), where –126– person checks and –105– vehicle checks were carried out, –21– Code of Conduct violations were confirmed. and –4– vehicles were immobilized,
