It took the 12-year-old two weeks to decorate his house
For some people Christmas decoration is not a simple matter, but they spend time in preparation and steal impressions with the result.
The same goes for 12-year-old Nikiforos Stavrou-Kanterakis, who for yet another year took care of the decoration – a blockbuster in his house, which is located in the area of Agios Ioannis in Chania and attracts the attention of anyone who happens to see it.
It has dozens of trees, Santas and thousands of lights and is one of the most decorated houses in Crete, if not the most decorated.
“It took me two weeks to decorate it and I’m adding more and more every day. I like Christmas very much and every year I wait for it to come,” Nikiforos told Creta24.
He makes cribs, wreaths, balls and even repairs… burnt out light bulbs!
The 12-year-old Nikiforos does not only decorate for Christmas, but also uniquely decorates his house for Easter, Summer and Halloween.
He has been involved in construction since he was very young and when he grows up he wants to become a decorator or open a shop with decorative items, for all holidays and seasons. Nikiforos, of course, seems that despite his young age, he has already taken the first steps of his career, as he has decorated two shops in Chania!
“Nikiforos is a charismatic child, talented with a creative mind. From the age of 2 he started decorating and making handmade creations. I am very proud of him. Every year he wants more and more bulbs. In his free time, he only makes constructions and handmade creations,” said Nikiforos’ mother, Athina Stavrou.
