The 18-year-old man, who during a fight killed his 16-year-old brother with scissors in their house in Nea Smyrni, asked for and received a deadline to apologize tomorrow Friday.

It was brought against him criminal prosecution for manslaughterillegal carrying of weapons and use of weapons.

The two brothers quarreled over a trivial matter, about a blouse. The 18-year-old then chased the 16-year-old into the house and stabbed him with a pair of scissors, seriously injuring him in the chest. The injured teenager was transported to the People’s Hospital, where he breathed his last.

“He is not a criminal, he is a child who needs help, from justice and society,” the 18-year-old’s mother emphasized in her first statements.

This was not the first time the two boys had had a serious fight. According to information, last summer the two brothers had fought again and the 16-year-old had pulled out iron fists, while the 18-year-old had a knife.

The Chronicles

Shortly after 9:00 on Tuesday night, the Immediate Action center received a call informing them that voices could be heard from an apartment building in Nea Smyrni.

A police patrol car arrived at the scene as well as an ambulance from the EKAV. It was then established that a 16-year-old had been seriously injured by a sharp object in the chest, neck and arms. The young man was immediately taken to the People’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police proceeded to bring in the people who were inside the house, specifically the mother, his 18-year-old brother, the grandmother and a girl, who was allegedly in a relationship with the victim’s 18-year-old brother.

They were all released a few hours later, except for the 16-year-old’s 18-year-old brother, who was arrested after he confessed.
