A car accident involving seven vehicles in Istanbul on the North Marmara highway left eleven dead and 57 injured.

According to reports, 7 vehicles, including 3 buses and a truckwere involved in a car accident at the Dağdibi location in the Istanbul direction of the highway for an unknown reason so far.

Due to the accident, traffic on the highway heading towards Istanbul was stopped.

According to Turkish media, the injured were taken to hospitals, while rescue teams continue to operate in the area.

In particular, crews continue to remove vehicles from the road in the area where dense fog prevails.

The investigation into the causes of the accident has been assigned to four prosecutors, according to the Turkish news agency Anadolu.
