The vessel is manned with a total of 19 crew members, 18 Filipino nationals and one Greek, a fact confirmed by the Ministry of Shipping, stating that the Greek is registered as a probationary master.
After the ship was seized last year, Iran warned the US that this action “would not go unanswered”.
The ship was once involved in a dispute with the US Department of Justice in which a million barrels of Iranian crude oil were seized.
