“Nobody’s crazy to let the Wreck go… It’s a window open to the whole world”
The need for immediate maintenance of “Panayiotis” in the beach Shipwreck of Zakynthos found a group of the National Technical University of Athens that went to the island.
Due to the emergency situation and the need for immediate maintenance of the “Panagiotis” ship in the Shipwreck areathe Member of Parliament of Zakynthos, Dionysios Aktypis, contacted the NTUA professor, Mr. Kaliabakos, in order to consider the possibilities of taking immediate measures to save the shipwhich is a monument and landmark for Zakynthos.
In this context, on the island are both the professor, Mr. Kaliambakos and the Rector, Mr. Hatzigeorgiou, together with a group of experts from the Polytechnicin order to check the situation and “to draw up the necessary plans to save both the ship and the area» according to information from the Member of Parliament of Zakynthos.
