The announcement of the PAOK academy in Komotini states:
“Our Academy is in heavy mourning from today after the loss of our much loved child Thanos Kotsidis, our own Thanoulis.
We would like to express our deepest condolences to his family.
Lately, Thanos has been bravely and courageously fighting an unequal battle against the toughest opponent.
He started his first football steps in our Academy from the age of 5 where he was distinguished by his morals, humility, determination, hard work, he learned to be a fighter from a young age, to respect coaches-opponents-teammates and participated in great successes of the Academy.
By decision of the Board of Directors of our club, three days of mourning are declared in our Academy and suspension of all competitive activities.
Good trip Thanos to the neighborhood of angels. We will do everything to make you feel proud and smile with the successes of your favorite team. We’re sure you’ll be watching us from up there!
Good heaven and good rest, Thanoulis.”
