A prosecutor’s order to investigate the living conditions of the minor children of the family and the members who call themselves as early Christians in the area of Kato Trikala Corinthia was issued late in the afternoon, according to ERT.

It is recalled that last Saturday night, a 67-year-old farmer went to the Xylokastro police station and filed a complaint against an unknown perpetrator who lives in primitive conditions near his field because he set fire to his farm car, which was parked in the field. The preliminary investigation revealed that the arsonist is a 45-year-old man who lives in the area.

The next morning, strong forces in the presence of a prosecutor went to the place where they confronted the 45-year-old, his 39-year-old wife, his 22-year-old daughter and another minor. The family, not only refused control, but its members resisted and attacked the police, injuring a police officer on the head with a stick. In fact, they grabbed weapons that were hidden at the scene, shot at the staircase and disappeared from the area.

Last Monday morning, EKAM police officers from Athens and OPKE went to the place where the family lives and after an operation they managed to arrest the 4 people who attacked the police officers. They found that the large family (they still have a one-year-old baby, a 6-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy) is living in a makeshift shack with no basic necessities, and under the dirt floor they have dug a 30-meter-long tunnel. An improvised rifle, an air gun, 102 hunting cartridges, 81 war weapon bullets, 7 improvised bows, 20 arrows, 4 knives and an ax were found and seized.
