In the 24-hour strike declared by OSME, it announced that the Workers Union of OASTH will participate on Wednesday (28/2), as part of the Pan-Hellenic Strike for the accident in Tempi.

As the workers announced, during the 24-hour strike there will be security personnel to cover the traffic needs of 50 buses, while the specially configured disabled service vehicles as well as the airport’s night line (1N) will work normally.

The announcement of the OASTH Employees’ Union in detail:

“The Thessaloniki City Transport Workers’ Union participates in the 24-hour pan-Hellenic strike declared by the Federation of Transport Trade Unions of Greece (OSME).

We all owe a debt to the victims, to our bereaved fellow human beings, to the dead of the unspeakable railway tragedy. May the sacrifice of these people never be forgotten. The crime of Tempe must not and will not be silenced. It is everyone’s demand to take responsibility and prevent the recurrence of similar tragic events.

On the day of this sad anniversary, the workers in passenger and freight transport, we will be on the road of struggle to reveal the truth, to prevent the covering up of responsibilities and to highlight all the issues that are related to safety in transport, safety in transport.
