The “path” of the eclipse – In which areas the phenomenon will unfold in all its glory
The total solar eclipse, which will be visible in all its glory in Central and North America, as far as Canada, has caused a worldwide shock.
NASA, with its state-of-the-art instruments, will completely “cover” the “dance of the celestial bodies”, during which the Moon passes between the Earth and the sun and “enters” the same line as the Sun, causing the phenomenon of the total eclipse.
The corona that forms around the Moon is the sunlight trying to “escape” from the Moon’s barrier and reach human eyes, on our Earth. An equally impressive phenomenon, which becomes visible in its full range only a few times during a person’s lifetime.
Watch the total solar eclipse live:
Astronomers in the US and Canada have mapped out exactly what path the eclipse will take.
That path, by the way, averages 115 miles (183 kilometers) wide and includes some major cities like Dallas, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Buffalo, as well as Niagara Falls.
Watch the eclipse live from four different areas:
From Canada it will “pass” through Hamilton, Ontario, Montreal, Quebec and Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Those who watch the phenomenon from points around the areas we mentioned will “lose” some of its magic, but – also in this case – they will witness amazing images.
