The main points of the forthcoming legislative regulations, as well as the other initiatives for the confrontation of the fan violence are presented today (21/2, 11:30) by the Government.
The announcements will be made at the General Secretariat of Information and Communication, by the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, the Minister of Justice, Costas Tsiaras, the Deputy Minister of Sports, Lefteris Avgenakis and the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesman, Giannis.
An overview of measures to combat fan violence-hooliganism, gave the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikanos, in statements yesterday on his morning news program SKAI “Good morning”.
According to Mr. Theodorikakos, the hooligan associations are closing down and the fan clubs will operate under conditions.
At the same time, the penalties for those involved in fan violence and hooliganism are being tightened. “Penalties of deprivation of liberty will be provided and there will be no possibility of suspension. “The nickname will prevail”, he stated characteristically.
He pointed out that the PAE should put “back” in this effort, emphasizing that they must understand that hooligans are not their strength. In fact, he left open the possibility of imposing penalties on the PAE, however he avoided giving more details.
