The “suspicious” questions of the supposed representatives of RAE – This is how you will understand the scammers
The Waste, Energy and Water Regulatory Authority is calling for increased attention from consumers receiving phone calls to promote electricity products.
As he mentions, he has recently been receiving complaints from citizens about telephone scams. In particular, they report that vigilantes are contacting them by phone posing as representatives of the “Independent Energy Authority, RAE”, in order to inform them about the new tariffs and help them choose an electricity supplier.
The astute ones even ask consumers for information related to their accounts and their contracts, urging them to send them either via applications (viber) or via e-mail.
RAAEF, based on its competences, informs consumers that it has no competence to communicate with them, as well as no competence to indicate or propose electricity tariffs.
No employee of the Waste, Energy and Water Regulatory Authority has contacted and will not contact consumers on issues related to the choice of electricity supplier.
