The news of the arrest of 12 people is shocking (11 nationals and 1 foreigner), including 4 students, for drug trafficking in schools of Patras, as part of the dismantling of a criminal organization, following an extensive operation by the Patras Narcotics Prosecution, from Friday noon until late at night.

Exclusive information from tempo24.gr states that six parents were also arrested for neglecting the supervision of a minor, while drug trafficking took place within the school complexes which are located near Marouda Square.

The police found, among other things, a precision scale and a quantity of drugs in a specially designed area (tile roof gutter) within the school complex, while hashish, cocaine and MDMA, a substance commonly known as ecstasy, were found in a PPC clock. Among other things, a sum of money was confiscated.

According to the same information, a characteristic of the harsh action of the organization is the testimony of a student, who allegedly told the police that they beat him when he failed to sell drugs to students and many times he was forced to hand over the 2 euro pocket money to the leading members which his father gave him every day, so that he could save the wood.

It is worth noting that the local Police had been dealing with this case for quite some time, waiting for the right moment to act and for obvious reasons choosing yesterday when they closed the schools for the Easter holidays.

The Directorate of Secondary Education was also aware of the case.
