The House of Parliament was illuminated this evening with the logo of the action for this year’s World Book Day, giving the message: “Reading and Changing”.
The specific action which took place, for one more year, was in the context of the Parliamentary Library’s participation in the Book Walk, organized today by the Greek Book Association, for World Book Day.
Also, in the House of Parliament, the Parliamentary Library Department held an event on the theme “The Charter, Riga and his era”, where each group of visitors on their way out passed the Peristyle, where the Charter is exhibited.
In continuation of similar events, the Parliamentary Archives Department of the Library of the Hellenic Parliament also implemented an action with the theme “Discovering (s) the archives of the Library of the Parliament”.
There, participants had the opportunity to get to know the archives and the history of the Parliament, to be informed about the management stages and the ways of their utilization, and at the same time to tour the preservation and digitization laboratories.
Finally, at the Public Tobacco Factory, a reading-friendly activity was held for families.
