Weather: Local rains and sporadic thunderstorms – Snowfall in the mountains

Rainy will be the weather, today Wednesday in several parts of the country. In western Greece, a few local rains and gradual improvement are expected.
In the rest of the country, heavy rains and sporadic thunderstorms are forecast in places.

Snowfall will be recorded in the central and northern continental mountains and in the mountains of Crete as well as in the semi-mountains of Epirus and Western Macedonia in the early morning hours.

The winds will blow from north directions 5 to 7 and gradually in the Aegean locally 8 beauforts and only in the southeast will blow south southeast 5 to 6 and temporarily up to 7 beauforts.

THE temperature will note fall mainly in the north and east. In the northern continents it will not exceed 10 to 13 degrees and in the rest of the mainland it will reach 14 to 15 and in the islands 16 to 17 degrees Celsius. Frost will take place in the morning and evening at northwest.

MACEDONIA, THRACE

Weather: Increased clouds with local rain. Sporadic thunderstorms in eastern Macedonia and Thrace in the early morning hours. Snowfalls, in places dense, will occur in the morning in western Macedonia and in the mountains of central Macedonia.
Winds: From north 4 to 6 and early in the morning in central Macedonia up to 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 04 to 13 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia 3 to 4 points lower.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN STEREA, WESTERN PELOPONNESE

Weather: A few clouds temporarily increased in the south where until noon there will be local rains and isolated thunderstorms. From the afternoon generally clear. Temporary snowfall in the mountainous-semi-mountainous areas of Epirus in the early morning hours.
Winds: North northeast 4 to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 05 to 15 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus 4 to 5 degrees lower.

THESSALY, EASTERN CENTRAL, EASTERN PELOPONNESE

Weather: Cloudy with rain and sporadic thunderstorms. The phenomena in the morning hours in Thessaly and the Sporades will be strong in places.
Snowfalls will occur mainly in the mountains of Thessaly where in the early morning hours it will be dense in places.
Winds: From north 4 to 6, gradually locally 7 and from the evening east and south up to 8 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 06 to 16 degrees Celsius. In the north 3 to 4 degrees lower.

CYCLADES, CRETE

Weather: Increased clouds with rain and sporadic thunderstorms gradually strong in places. Local snowfall in the mountains of Crete.
Winds: East northeast 4 to 6 and from the afternoon 7 to 8 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 10 to 16 degrees Celsius.

EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE

Weather: Increased clouds with rain and sporadic thunderstorms gradually strong in places in the Dodecanese.
Winds: North east northeast 5 to 6 and from the afternoon 7 Beaufort. South east southeast 4 to 6 and gradually locally 7 beaufort.
Temperature: From 11 to 17 degrees Celsius.

EUBOEA

Weather: Cloudy with rain and sporadic thunderstorms in places strong until the afternoon in the central and northern.
Winds: From north 5 to 6, gradually locally 7 and from night south to 8 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 09 to 14 degrees Celsius.

ATTICA

Weather: Cloudy skies temporarily increased with local rains.
Winds: From north 4 to 6 and from the afternoon to east 7 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 09 to 15 degrees Celsius.

THESSALONIKI

Weather: Cloudy skies temporarily increased with local rains until noon.
